Pediatric doctor accused of child abuse, under investigation for 130 criminal offenses…

A pediatric doctor has been accused of 130 sexual offenses against children by German authorities.

The charges include rape and sexual abuse, many of which were allegedly committed in hospitals while he was on duty. The 45-year-old pediatrician worked at the Rathenow and Nauen clinics in the Havelland district, on the outskirts of Berlin, and is suspected of having committed the rapes and abuses between 2013 and 2025.

Media reports state that he was arrested last November after a mother reported that her child had been abused at the Rathenow clinic.

As part of the investigation, authorities seized numerous data storage devices, while attention immediately turned to identifying more victims. One of the reasons for his pre-trial detention is the risk of repeated offenses.
