Pogradeci closes the second phase at home, where on Sunday they will host Burreli in a match crucial for their seasonal objectives. The clash pits two teams with a 10-point difference but close in the standings, making the duel even more competitive.

The Liqenorët are engaged in the battle for the top two spots, which guarantee direct promotion to the Superiore. Currently, Pogradeci is eight points behind league leaders Skënderbeu and five points behind second-place Laçi. The draw secured in Fier in stoppage time, thanks to a penalty converted by captain Vangjel Zguro, caused the team to lose some ground against direct rivals, but it did not dampen their ambition for the main goal. The squad, led by coach Emiljano Çela, immediately refocused after that draw, preparing for the next match. Efforts in the Pogradec camp have focused on restoring calm and boosting motivation.

President Lilo personally visited the team to communicate with the players and encourage them ahead of the match against the Matjanët, showing full support at this critical stage of the season. The club also called on fans for maximum support, emphasizing the importance of their presence in the stadium. The official announcement reads:

“**SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 13:30 – we welcome you to the stadium to experience the match against Burreli live. Don’t miss it!**”

**Captain Vangjel Zguro** – In addition to the club, captain Vangjel Zguro delivered his motivating message. In a social media post showing him with teammates during a relaxed conversation, he highlighted the spirit of unity within the group.

The photo was captioned: “After difficulties comes relief, heads up, we move forward ❤️.” The message is clear: everyone in Pogradec is united and determined to respond on the field. The team aims not only for three points but also a convincing performance to continue their promotion campaign.

In the first phase, Burreli won at home 2-0, with goals by Arango and Kastrati, so Sunday’s match is also seen as an opportunity for sporting revenge. A tough game is expected, but confidence dominates in the Pogradec camp that with unity, focus, and fan support, they can close the phase with a positive result and keep their Superiore dream alive. Pogradeci and Burreli will play six home matches and five away in the third phase. According to the schedule and current standings, Pogradeci will play at Laç and host the Southeastern derby against Skënderbeu in the third phase.
