A strong earthquake caused moments of panic, forcing many residents to rush out of their homes. The seismic tremor was recorded at around 19:46 and, according to preliminary assessments by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), had a magnitude of 4.7.

Following the initial quake, tremors were felt in several areas, while residents took to the streets, alarmed by fears of aftershocks. Power outages were reported in many areas, creating difficulties for residents and emergency services.

As a safety precaution, authorities temporarily suspended railway traffic on several lines, while technical teams began inspections to assess the condition of infrastructure and ensure passenger safety.

The tremors occurred at a time when thousands of people had gathered for a festive event, increasing concern and tension among those present. Despite the fear caused, the event continued without any major incidents.

So far, authorities have not reported any fatalities or injuries, and no serious damage to buildings has been identified. However, field inspections are continuing to rule out any potential risks and to fully assess the impact of the earthquake.

The relevant institutions have urged citizens to remain calm, follow the instructions of authorities, and exercise caution in the event of further seismic activity.
