Priest arrested for drug trafficking in Greece

A 46-year-old Old Calendarist priest, who also ran a YouTube channel, has been arrested in Greece. He was detained by Greek authorities for being part of a network trafficking cocaine and raw cannabis.

Greek police seized 2,238 grams of cocaine and 9,092.6 grams of raw cannabis.

According to Greek media, another cleric was also arrested in connection with the case for giving drugs to a third party in Rhodes to transport them to Athens.

The 46-year-old priest, who has a prior conviction for physical violence, reportedly collaborated directly with the gang leader.

Reports indicate that quantities of cocaine and raw cannabis were being stored inside a church in Attica, with the 46-year-old and at least one other cleric taking advantage of their status to facilitate the operation.
