Selvije Jao, the partner of the late singer Shpat Kasapi, has revealed that despite the artist passing away at a young age, we will soon have the opportunity to listen to dozens of musical projects he left behind.

Through a post on her Instagram account, Selvija revealed that Shpat left behind songs that speak about the longing of children in the diaspora, who dream of returning home, to the place where the woman who gave them life—their mother—waits.

“Ah Shpat, all Albanian mothers are crying for you today, and today you are leaving the world with a song that speaks about the longing of a boy in the diaspora, who dreams of the day he will return and find his mother waiting for him.

How heavy this song sounds today… because a mother is still waiting for the voice of her son, his embrace, and his knock on the door…

Shpat has left behind several songs that he did not manage to publish, and although my heart hurts, I feel it is my duty to bring them to you, so that his voice continues to live among us.
