A shocking incident has occurred in Thessaloniki, where a 67-year-old man was killed by his 30-year-old son following a violent conflict inside the family home.

The 30-year-old is suspected of attacking his father with a screwdriver and a stool, causing fatal injuries. He was arrested by police and faces criminal charges for murder, domestic violence, and violation of laws related to narcotic substances.

According to authorities, the 67-year-old man was found dead inside the house, with injuries that investigators believe were inflicted by his son.

At the scene, police seized a knife and a screwdriver, which will be examined in a laboratory, as well as two boxes of narcotic pills without a medical prescription. A forensic doctor and the criminal police team from northern Greece arrived at the scene.

The suspect is expected to appear before judicial authorities. The incident was uncovered after the 30-year-old’s sister went to the family home looking for their father.

She found the 67-year-old dead on the lower floor of the house and later discovered her brother sleeping in his room. When she informed him that their father had died, he allegedly admitted that he had killed him following an argument.
