Skënderbeu is currently on a break, and news about the new Superliga Skënderbeu are coming in slowly. Our portal has learned from sources close to the club that in the coming days, a list of players who will leave the team is expected first.

There are several names from last season’s squad who will remain, while the technical staff led by Julian Ahmataj is preparing this list, which will definitively confirm the players who will stay, meaning those who are considered suitable for the new team.

After that, the same staff will prepare a list of players to be signed, with contacts already underway at this stage.

June 22 will mark the start of preparations for Skënderbeu, and on that day Julian Ahmataj and his staff will be in the southeast, where they will officially take over the team and the names of the new players joining the squad will also be revealed.

There are still three weeks until the start of preparations, and the only uncertainty is whether the Albanian Football Federation decides for the Superliga to start on September 5; if so, there may be changes to this schedule.

We will wait and see, but what is important is that Julian Ahmataj’s Skënderbeu has already started to move.
