Skënderbeu will play the final friendly match of this phase this Friday, facing Gramshi in Korçë.
According to coach Julian Ahmataj, this test is expected to be another important opportunity to closely assess the players’ condition and consolidate the team ahead of the start of the season.
The friendly matches have been an important part of Skënderbeu’s preparations, particularly because the squad has undergone several changes during the transfer window. New players have joined the team in Korçë and need as much playing time together as possible to develop the necessary understanding and on-field chemistry.
This has also been one of coach Ahmataj’s main objectives during this period: to test the players, determine his options for the starting lineup and, above all, build a solid and competitive team.
The match against Gramshi will allow the coaching staff to make their final assessments before the end of the preparation phase. For the players who joined during the transfer window, it will also be another opportunity to gain minutes and build stronger connections with their teammates.
With the new signings and the work carried out in recent weeks, Skënderbeu aims to start the season with a well-consolidated squad and a clear playing identity. Friday’s test against Gramshi is expected to be one of the final opportunities for coach Ahmataj to assess how close the team is to the formation he is looking for.
