Skënderbeu winter champions, Laçi and Pogradeci keep going, while Kukësi and Luftëtari “fall” into the Second Category (STANDINGS)

In the First Category, the final match of round 17 will be played tomorrow, after having been postponed due to weather conditions. Despite the fact that the Korabi–Burreli clash has not yet been played, no major changes are expected in the standings.

Thus, Skënderbeu are the winter champions, having closed the calendar year with 40 points. The Korçë side lead comfortably, 7 points ahead of Laçi and 8 ahead of Pogradeci.

They are followed by Kastrioti with 24 points, Besa with 23, and Apolonia with 22, who together complete the Play-Off zone.

A second consecutive defeat in the league has dropped Iliria to 7th place in the standings with just 22 points. Behind them are Korabi and Burreli with 20 points each, who will face each other tomorrow.

At the other end of the table are Lushnja with 16 points, Luftëtari with 11, and Kukësi at the bottom with 9 points. From the current standings, it appears that Skënderbeu and Laçi have “secured” promotion to the Superiore, while Pogradeci, Kastrioti, Besa, and Apolonia have qualified for the Play-Offs. As for the Play-Out, it is currently contested between Korabi, Iliria, and Burreli, while Luftëtari and Kukësi “drop” based on the current classification.
