STRONG EARTHQUAKE / Tremors felt in neighboring countries as well

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale has struck Turkey, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The earthquake’s epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers, about 21 kilometers from the city of Malatya in eastern Turkey.
So far, no injuries or material damage have been reported, while authorities continue to monitor the situation.
According to eyewitness accounts published on the EMSC website, the tremors were strong and were also felt in Syria and Cyprus.
