In the coming days, our country will transition from a period of clear weather and spring-like temperatures to a worsening of weather conditions, as cold air masses from the north will cause a noticeable drop in temperatures. These northern-origin air masses are expected to bring not only temperature drops but also possible rain or snow showers, especially on days with overcast skies.
According to the forecast from the Military Meteorological Service, on Monday, the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy, with occasional breaks of clear skies. The clouds will bring intermittent rain showers, with generally light intensity, although in some areas, the intensity may be moderate.
On Tuesday, the rain showers, though local and light in intensity, will continue until midday, after which they are expected to stop across the entire territory. Additionally, the clouds will remain present until midday, but after that, clear skies will prevail, starting from the northern areas and gradually spreading throughout the country.
For Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be clear across the entire territory, though temperatures will drop significantly during the early morning hours, especially in higher and more remote areas. The temperatures are expected to be lower than usual for this time of year.
On Friday, a new wave of cold and humid air masses from the north is expected to move over the country, bringing moderate to dense cloud cover, along with intermittent rain showers of light intensity. In the afternoon, the rain showers may intensify in some areas, reaching moderate intensity. Snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas of the north and east, with light to moderate intensity.
In summary, the weather will change significantly in the coming days, with periods of rain and snow showers, and temperatures will continue to fluctuate, with a marked drop expected, particularly during the weekend.
