The 24-year-old soldier loses her life after falling from a horse in front of the King

England has been shaken by the death of Ciara Sullivan, a 24-year-old soldier of the Royal Horse Artillery, who lost her life after falling from a horse during a ceremonial event at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.


The incident happened on Sunday evening, shortly after she had taken part in a demonstration in front of King Charles III. Despite immediate medical assistance, the young woman suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.


The news has caused deep sorrow across the country, while her family has paid touching tributes to her. Buckingham Palace also announced that the King is deeply saddened by the loss of the young soldier.


Ciara Sullivan had been part of the British Army since 2020 and had taken part in several major state ceremonies, including the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and the King’s coronation.
