An escort has spoken about how parties involving Serie A football players reportedly worked, in connection with a scandal in Italy involving alleged drug use and escorts at private events attended by footballers and Formula 1 drivers.
The witness said she had been part of a team working for two nightclub managers who allegedly built their own criminal network.
She reported the two managers of Ma.De Milano, who are accused of taking half of the earnings. She lived in Cinisello Balsamo, in the same building as the agency, which also reportedly operated an illegal nightclub.
Even during lockdown and restrictions on gatherings due to Covid-19, “social events with escort services were organized almost daily,” and the women reportedly had “paid sexual encounters with guests, mainly selected from professional football.”
These are fragments from the testimony of a young woman who, on August 23, 2024, decided to report Emanuele Buttini and Deborah Ronchi, who were placed under house arrest on Monday, also on charges of criminal conspiracy, along with two other individuals.
They are suspected of running, through Ma.De Milano, an alleged prostitution and exploitation network, offering an “all-inclusive package” after matches: nights in five-star clubs in Milan’s nightlife, escorts, and sometimes drug use to “loosen up.”
The woman told investigators from Italy’s financial police (Guardia di Finanza), as part of the ongoing investigation, that she lived in Cinisello Balsamo, in the Milan area, in an apartment in the same building where Ma.De had its headquarters from 2019 to 2023.
The building, she said, also housed an illegal nightclub, and events were promoted on Instagram. According to her statement, Ronchi and Buttini kept at least 50% of the payments, giving the rest to the women.
