Three distinguished figures of Korça’s sporting tradition have left a lasting mark on the history of local athletics and football, shaping generations of athletes and elevating the name of Korça on the national stage: Piro Kasati, Tomi Stefallari, and Petrika Jakova. Each of them played an irreplaceable role in the development of sports in this city, known for its deep passion for physical activity and competition.

Piro Kasati is known as one of the wisest and most respected coaches in Korça’s athletics. He led with calmness, composure, and a deep technical understanding, mentoring many of Skënderbeu’s golden generations. Through his dedication and philosophy of nurturing local talent, he helped build a strong and sustainable identity for the club. His contribution extended beyond the field – he was both a teacher and a source of inspiration.

Tomi Stefallari was another pillar of Korça’s sporting history, an undisputed sprint champion and a shining figure as a coach as well. He set records in short-distance races and was among the fastest athletes in the country during his time. As a coach, he passed on the discipline and energy that defined him as an athlete to his students and young runners, building not only champions but strong characters.

Petrika Jakova brought a unique dimension to Korça’s sports scene, especially in disciplines like jumping. His rich experience, including knowledge gained through exposure to Chinese training methodologies, made him stand out as a high-level specialist. He had a deep understanding of body mechanics and movement, which made him highly successful in training young athletes.

Three names, three different paths to success, but one shared goal: the development of sport in the city of Korça. They were not just coaches or athletes – they were symbols of pure passion for competition, of integrity, and of long-term dedication to the younger generations. Their legacy lives on in the stadium tracks and in the hearts of those who had the fortune to know them or train under their guidance.
