Aleko Pilika remains one of the most prominent figures produced by football in Korçë and in Albania. He first made history as a player for “Skënderbeu,” the team of his heart, and later as a coach, leaving an indelible mark on generations of sports fans.


His journey began in Korçë, where his talent and passion for football appeared at a very young age. From youth teams, he quickly progressed to the first team of “Skënderbeu,” standing out for his high technique, accurate shots, and ability to decide matches at crucial moments.


During his military service, he also wore the jersey of “Dinamo,” where he had the opportunity to play international matches and represent Albanian football with dignity. Wherever he played, he earned respect and appreciation for his professionalism and character.


However, the name of Aleko Pilika is also closely linked with his success as a coach. He was the architect of one of the strongest teams in the history of “Skënderbeu,” the 1977 squad, which is still remembered today for its beautiful play, fighting spirit, and high-quality football on the pitch.
