Two people lost their lives and three others were seriously injured after a vehicle went out of control and crashed into pedestrians in New York City. The accident happened on Friday afternoon in the Manhattan area, when the driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control of the car.

The incident was recorded at around 6:00 p.m. local time. Security camera footage published by the New York Post shows the vehicle speeding through an intersection before first crashing into a parked van near a barbershop and then into a group of people standing outside the store.

As a result, two people died at the scene, while three men aged 36, 44, and 51 were seriously injured. According to police, they were transported in critical condition to Mount Sinai Morningside, formerly known as St. Luke’s Hospital.
