The escalation of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz continues, with U.S. President Donald Trump confirming that the three American destroyers attacked by Iran suffered no damage, while Iranian forces sustained serious losses.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump warned that the U.S. response would become even harsher in the future if Iran does not move forward with an agreement.
Over the last 24 hours, tensions in the Strait of Hormuz have reached new levels. As Trump stated in his post, three American destroyers successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz while under fire from Iranian forces. Despite the unprovoked attack, the American ships were not damaged, while Iran suffered a heavy blow.
Trump described the attackers as “mentally sick” and warned that if Iran does not sign an agreement soon, the American response will become tougher and more violent. “Our strategy is clear and American naval power is unstoppable,” the President said.
The U.S. President emphasized that the attacks on Iran brought down a number of small vessels and drones during the conflict, destroying their naval capability with great “effectiveness.” At the same time, he highlighted the resilience and capability of American soldiers, who managed to intercept missiles and drones without suffering damage.
This incident demonstrates the continuation of heightened tensions in the region, with the United States strengthening its military presence in the area. “If Iran has the ability to use nuclear weapons, they will not hesitate,” Trump warned, describing the country as a threat to global security.
The three American destroyers are returning to the U.S. naval blockade in the region, which, according to Trump, is the most powerful “steel wall” protecting U.S. interests and those of its allies.
