“Will not be forgotten”, Elbasan’s painful reaction to the loss of the 22-year-old

The tragic passing of young footballer Fatjon Bunjaku has shocked the Albanian sports community. After the tragic news of the loss of the 22-year-old in a road accident on the Prishtina–Mitrovica highway, reactions have come from AF Elbasani and the President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka.

AF Elbasani has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of one of its players, describing it as a heavy blow for the entire yellow-and-blue family. In its published message, the club highlights Bunjaku’s dedication, passion, and contribution during his time with the team.

“With deep sorrow we received the news of the passing of our player, Fatjon Bunjaku. His dedication and passion for football will always remain part of our identity. Fatjon will not be forgotten,” the club said.

The head of Albanian football, Armand Duka, also expressed his condolences to the family and relatives of the footballer, calling the event a great loss for Albanian sport.

“With deep sadness I received the news of the untimely passing of Fatjon Bunjaku, a young man with his whole future ahead of him. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the Elbasani club,” Duka said.

Only 22 years old, Fatjon Bunjaku was considered a player with great potential and perspective, and his untimely passing has left deep pain among family members, friends, teammates, and the entire football community.
