The well-known actress Zamira Kita was a guest this Sunday on the show “Interview” with Mirela Milori on Euronews Albania, where she shared special moments from her life and the early steps of her artistic career.

She revealed that her connection with the stage began in childhood, thanks to her father, who was part of the variety theatre. He was the one who first brought her on stage during several premieres organized at the knitting factory where he worked.

“I first saw the beginning of talent in my father. I watched how he worked, how he learned sketches at the table, and then we would perform them on stage. That’s where I developed a great love for theatre,” she said.

Kita shared that she recited poems in front of her class as early as first grade, often being placed on the teacher’s desk to perform. While many children show talent early, she emphasized that, unlike others, she never lost her desire to become an actress.

The actress also spoke about the difficulties during the communist era, highlighting that she was fortunate to complete her studies despite having a “bad biography.” After graduation and the system’s change, she immediately began her professional acting journey.

“I was lucky to attend school. It chose my life. Even though I spent four years in the countryside, I was graduated and then I pursued my own path,” she said.

When asked what advice she would give her 20-year-old self, Kita said she would have advised being more careful about certain mistakes. She admitted that she learned from some of them and did not repeat them, while for others she still cannot forgive herself. However, she emphasized that she would never change some important relationships in her life, including her husband.
