4 days without electricity / Power outage announced in these cities, TSO: There will be massive disconnections on these dates

Residents and businesses in Elbasan, Gramsh, and Librazhd will face temporary power outages during the period March 2–5, 2026, due to technical maneuvers and safety measures on the transmission network.

According to the official announcement, as part of the shutdown as a safety measure of the 400 kV Fier – Elbasan – Qafë Thanë line, interventions will be carried out on several 35 kV and 10 kV lines, which will result in short power interruptions in certain areas.

Elbasan

On March 2–4, from 08:00 to 17:00, the 35kV Line L30–66 Mjekës – Kombinati i Drurit Elbasan will be disconnected and grounded. As a result, the following areas will be without electricity for approximately 5 minutes:

Ital Druri, “Skënderbej” neighborhood, Brick Factory, Hajdaran, Shushicë, Fushë Bull, Tahiraj, Shirgjan, Reparti Mjekës, and the villages of Mjekës and Kryezjarr.

Gramsh

Interruptions will occur on March 2 and 5, from 06:00 to 06:05, due to the shutdown of the 35kV Line L30–78 Mjekës – Banjë. For about 5 minutes, the following will be without electricity: the Gramsh and Cërrunjë substations, the Banjë Floating Photovoltaic Plant – Statkraft, as well as the hydropower plants Sotiraj, Lenie, Mivas, Tërvol, Kabash, Kërrpicë, Storë, and Pisha, along with the company AL Mex Wood.

The interruption will also affect a large number of neighborhoods and villages in the Gramsh district, including Çekin, Uzina Çekin, Xhile Liçi neighborhood, 18 Gushti neighborhood, Holta, Llapushaj, Konvikti, Officers’ neighborhood, Trashovicë, Tunjë, Kushovë, Pishaj, Skënderbegas, Kodovjat, Kukur, Lenie, Cërujë, Qerret, Sult, Katërlis, Kutërqar, Dushan, Zgjup, Kotorr, Ranxhë, Lleshaj, Kabash, Tërvol, Drizë, Gjergjovinë, Galigat, Bizhdan, Gostimë, Shtëpanjë, Klos, Floq, Banjë e Vjetër, Tregan, Gjinar, Shënavlash, Valesh, and surrounding areas.

Librazhd

On March 2–4, from 08:00 to 17:00, the 10kV line of Feeder F7 of the Kombinati i Drurit Substation will be disconnected and grounded. For approximately 5 minutes, the areas of Shirgjan, Reparti Mjekës, and the villages of Mjekës and Kryezjarr will be without electricity.

Energy authorities clarify that the outages will be short and controlled, necessary to guarantee network safety and carry out technical maneuvers.

Consumers are advised to take measures to protect electrical equipment during the shutdown intervals.
