52-year-old arrested for violently stealing an elderly woman’s bag

The Elbasan Police have successfully concluded the operation codenamed “Identification,” identifying, capturing, and arresting the suspect of a violent theft against an elderly woman.

A 52-year-old man violently stole a handbag containing cash from a 66-year-old woman on the street. Police identified, apprehended, and arrested the suspect. The stolen bag was recovered from his residence and seized as evidence.

Elbasan Police quickly organized the investigation after receiving a report that, in the “Visarion Xhuvani” neighborhood, a woman’s handbag had been stolen by force.

As a result of fast and professional investigative actions, within the framework of the operation “Identification,” the suspect was identified, caught, and arrested in flagrante:

* **G. F., 52 years old, resident of Elbasan.**

Based on video footage and investigation, it is believed that yesterday around 09:00 in the “Visarion Xhuvani” neighborhood, G. F. violently stole the handbag of F. S., 66, resident of Elbasan, which contained cash, a mobile phone, and several documents. The victim sustained minor injuries to her arm.

During a search of the suspect’s residence, the stolen bag was recovered and seized as material evidence.

Investigations are ongoing to document other thefts that G. F. may have committed.

Procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan for further legal action.
