69-year-old falls while herding livestock, rushed to the Trauma Hospital

A 69-year-old man has been seriously injured after an accident in a mountainous area, where he had gone to graze livestock.

According to preliminary information, Ismet Domeri, a resident of the village of Shalës, is suspected to have lost his balance due to high temperatures and fallen, suffering serious injuries.

The elderly man was found by people who were nearby, who immediately notified emergency services. After receiving first aid at the scene, he was transported to Sarandë Hospital, where he received initial medical treatment.

According to doctors, the 69-year-old suffered serious head and chest injuries. Due to his health condition, it was decided to transfer him by helicopter to the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he is receiving specialized care.

Meanwhile, authorities are expected to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
