A prostitution case has been uncovered by police.

In the “3 Heronjtë” neighborhood in Shkodër, police discovered and arrested 5 people in two rented apartments: 3 Colombian women who were allegedly carrying out prostitution activities, and 2 young men. The apartment owner has also been placed under investigation.

The owner is being charged with the criminal offense of “providing premises for prostitution.”

The police operation, codenamed “Rent Home 3,” was completed successfully, targeting another prostitution case.

As a result of the operation, 3 Colombian nationals were arrested for engaging in prostitution in two rented apartments. Two Albanian citizens were also arrested for involvement in prostitution, while the apartment owner is being prosecuted.

Police seized a sum of money suspected to be profits from prostitution, as well as 6 mobile phones.

Specialists from the Trafficking Investigation Unit, in cooperation with the Shkodër Police Station, carried out the operation based on intelligence gathered through operational sources.

Following the operation, an apartment in the “3 Heronjtë” area was identified where prostitution was taking place.

Under the operation, five individuals were arrested on the spot:

Colombian citizens A. M. (48), P. B. (32), and D. R. (27), who had rented the apartment and adapted it for prostitution

F. V. (28), resident of Vermosh, and K. G. (24), resident of Bajzë

Additionally, criminal proceedings were initiated against D. D. (27) for “providing premises for prostitution.”

Under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, work continues to fully document the case and identify other possible persons involved.
