Heavy rainfall that has affected southeastern Albania in recent hours has caused major disruptions to road traffic.

In addition to the closure of the Moglicë road, an important route connecting Maliq and Gramsh, problematic conditions have also been reported on the Qukës–Librazhd road and in the Prrenjas–Xhyrë area, where construction works on Corridor VIII are currently underway.

Dozens of vehicles have become stranded in floodwaters and are unable to move, while the resulting traffic congestion has stretched for several kilometers. According to drivers, the queue of vehicles has remained in place for more than three hours, with no normalization of the situation yet.

Authorities are urging citizens to avoid traveling on these routes until conditions improve and traffic flow returns to normal.
