At 38 years old, Blerina Kalthi has turned one of life’s most difficult challenges into a story of strength and hope. Through painting and handmade crafts, she has not only found a new passion, but has also built an inspiring message for all those who face this illness.

Colors, threads, and hundreds of carefully placed dots on canvas have become part of Blerina’s daily life.

But behind each of her works lies a story that has passed through pain, loss, and the battle with cancer.

38-year-old Blerina Kalthi has found in art not only a passion, but also a way to keep hope alive.

Her struggle with the disease began in 2021. A mild pain in her chest would change the course of her life. The diagnosis of cancer came as a heavy blow to her family, which had previously lost their only son to the same illness.

Between treatments, uncertainty, and fear, art became her refuge. At first as emotional therapy, later as a profession and a source of income.

Today she creates paintings using dot art techniques, crochet work, and embroidery. Each creation carries a part of her journey.

But for Blerina, art is more than work. It is a cause, a way to show that even after the hardest challenges, one can find the strength to move forward.

Today, after four battles with cancer, Blerina continues to create, to smile, and to give hope. Because, as she says, even in the darkest moments, light can be found.
