The rapid development of artificial intelligence has brought significant benefits in productivity and efficiency, but at the same time has raised serious concerns about the future of work. Recent studies show that the impact of AI on the labor market will be twofold: some jobs will disappear, others will be transformed, while new roles will be created that do not exist today.

How many jobs could be lost?

According to a recent report by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and analysts at Goldman Sachs:

  • 300 million jobs worldwide are potentially automatable by AI and automation by 2030.

  • Sectors such as finance, administration, accounting, customer service, and transportation face the highest risk of automation.

  • Particularly, jobs involving repetitive and structured tasks are more at risk.

What kinds of jobs will be created?

While some roles will disappear, AI will create new jobs, especially in the following fields:

  • AI technology development and programming

  • Cybersecurity

  • Data analysis

  • Management and training of AI systems

  • Jobs requiring human sensitivity and creativity (psychology, healthcare, arts, education)

McKinsey predicts that by 2030, around 12 million new jobs will be created in the U.S. alone as a result of technological transformations, including AI.

What skills will be required in the future?

To adapt to the new labor market, workers will need to develop skills such as:

  • Critical thinking and problem solving

  • Digital and technical skills

  • Creativity and innovation

  • Collaboration and interpersonal skills

  • Adaptability to change

Conclusion: Will AI replace human work?

Not completely. AI will change the way we work but will not fully replace humans. It will take over mechanical tasks, while people will focus on decision-making, interaction, and creativity areas where AI still cannot compete.
