Artificial Intelligence: The greatest threat to humanity!

Artificial intelligence is an extraordinary tool capable of helping solve humanity’s most complex challenges. The companies developing this technology see progress as a race and so do nations. However, many leading figures, including the founders of generative AI, openly acknowledge the profound risks it poses.

These risks are not limited to job losses or misinformation both serious challenges on their own. There is also the existential danger stemming from how easily biological weapons could be developed, and the risk that, as AI continues to evolve, humanity may entirely lose control of it. Put simply, it is hard to imagine how we could ever be certain of managing something that is, by definition, smarter than we are. Humanity has never faced such a challenge before.

While much has been said about this risk, efforts so far have been woefully insufficient: there are still no established international norms or even a serious, sustained technical and legal process in place to address it.
