Blitz operation by operational forces in the … prison / Drug doses, mobile phones and … seized

A blitz operation was carried out by prison operational forces in penitentiary institutions in Lushnjë, while intensive prison inspections have continued for the past four weeks.

According to journalist Anila Hoxha, the inspections began with the aim of uncovering prohibited items inside prison cells.

During the operations carried out so far, mobile phones, drug doses, and other illegal items have been seized.

In one of the latest cases, in a cell housing a detainee accused of drug trafficking, the National Bureau of Investigation also joined the inspection. According to reports, a mobile phone hidden inside the cell door frame was discovered there.

The seized phone has been sent for forensic examination, where authorities are expected to verify communications and data stored on the device. Authorities have not yet provided further details regarding the results of the operation or the individuals involved.
