BREAKING NEWS/ Incident before Iliria–Skënderbeu match, three players prosecuted

The State Police has issued an official statement regarding reports that Skënderbeu players were assaulted and felt pressured before the start of the match against Iliria of Fushë-Krujë.

According to the statement, procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, where three players A. S., B. S., and J. S. are being prosecuted while remaining free.

“On Wednesday, before the start of the football match ‘Iliria–Skënderbeu,’ it is suspected that the three aforementioned players were involved in a conflict with players from the opposing team, resulting in minor injuries to player S. N.,” the Police reported.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
