The Albanian national team has received a major boost ahead of their highly anticipated match against Serbia. Striker Rey Manaj has returned to training and appears ready to feature in the upcoming World Cup 2026 qualifier.

Manaj had been sidelined for several days due to a severe flu, which kept him away from the squad and raised concerns within the national team. However, his return to the training session today has eased the tension among the coaching staff.

During today’s practice, the 28-year-old forward from Lushnja completed all exercises alongside his teammates, showing that he has fully recovered and is physically prepared.

This comeback puts Manaj in strong contention for a starting spot in the lineup, offering head coach Silvinho more attacking options ahead of a crucial match.

Albania will face Serbia on Saturday, June 7, at the “Air Albania” Stadium, with kickoff set for 20:45 local time. The match is part of the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign and carries both sporting and symbolic importance.
