A citizen wrote to the editorial office of JOQ Albania to raise concerns about the conditions of hospitals in the southeastern part of the country, particularly the pediatrics department in Korçë, which, according to him, is in a miserable state.
He emphasizes that it is unforgivable for babies and children to be brought to such a building to receive medical care, while the lack of infrastructure makes the situation alarming.

“Hello, I wanted to raise a concern regarding the hospitals, especially the pediatrics department in Korçë, which is in a miserable condition. Just think, babies and children go there to receive medical care. Meanwhile, at the Ersekë hospital, there isn’t even an IV drip set (vigon) available for children; they end up using those meant for adults.
Also, the staff leaves much to be desired. I want to urge the Prime Minister to become aware and invest in hospitals, especially in the Kolonjë district, which has only one emergency unit and sends patients to Korçë,” the citizen wrote to JOQ.

The citizen also criticizes the Ersekë hospital, where, according to him, basic supplies such as IV drip sets for children are missing, and adult equipment is being used instead.
He raises concerns about the low quality of service from the medical staff and urges the Prime Minister to intervene with investments, especially in the Kolonjë district, which has only one emergency unit and refers patients to Korçë for treatment.

The citizen makes a direct appeal to the Ministry of Health, urging them not to turn a blind eye to the harsh conditions in which hospitals in the southeastern part of the country are found, especially the pediatrics department in Korçë and the hospital in Ersekë.
He calls for immediate intervention to improve infrastructure and provide basic medical equipment.
