Death certificate that opened investigations, doctors issue strong statement

Doctors and staff of the Mamurras Health Center gathered this Monday outside the institution, publicly expressing support for doctor Anila Lleshi, who is being investigated in connection with the completion of the death certificate of an 85-year-old woman from Fushë-Mamurras.

The incident has drawn significant attention following suspicions that the elderly woman may have died as a result of blunt force violence, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances and possible responsibilities in the case.

In their statement, the medical staff emphasized that their colleague acted in accordance with procedures and current legislation, performing her duties within the competencies defined by law. They expressed full solidarity with the doctor and called for the investigation to be conducted in an impartial and professional manner.

Meanwhile, competent authorities continue their work to fully clarify the incident, while the case remains under investigation to determine the exact cause of the 85-year-old woman’s death.
