Elbasani withdraws, will not attend the match in Korçë

Skënderbeu had planned a list of friendly matches, including a game against Vora on July 23 and a match against Elbasani on July 27.

However, it seems that the friendly match scheduled for July 27 has been canceled, as Elbasani has announced they will not travel to Korçë. The match will not take place because Elbasani is scheduled to play against Skënderbeu in the first week of the new season, starting August 18. It appears that Elbasani does not want Skënderbeu to gain any advantage or insights before their league encounter.

Everything seems to be in order, and Elbasani is within their rights to make this decision. The situation has been understood by the Skënderbeu side, who acknowledge their position. As a result, the July 27 date will not remain empty; efforts are underway to invite another team.

Many teams are being considered, but no official confirmation has been given yet. We will provide the details as soon as the club makes an announcement.

It is expected that a Superliga team will be invited, which has almost confirmed participation but has not yet done so officially.
