During the evening hours of yesterday, the Kapshtica border crossing recorded an increase in cross-border movements, as emigrants return from Greece to spend the Easter holidays with their families.

Albanian authorities have taken measures to handle the flow by increasing the number of operational counters.

Klan News journalist Daniela Zisi reports that currently, 5 counters are operating at entry into Albanian territory, while only 1 is operating at exit.

Thanks to this organization, the Albanian side has managed to avoid long queues and waiting times, even though the highest flow is recorded at entry.

The situation on the Greek side appears different, where travelers report waiting times of up to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Authorities continue to monitor the situation, warning that the flow is expected to increase in the coming days.
