ERMIR RASHICA / The talent who stood out in the Superiore league and received a call-up from the Albania U-21 team, reveals his red-and-black dream and goals

Ermir Rashica is one of the most promising talents in the Albanian league, who, in his first season, performed impressively with Skënderbeu and, thanks to his qualities, received a call-up from the Albania U-21 team. He began his career at the "El Clasico" football academy in Vushtrri and, at the age of 18, made his debut with Trepça ’89 in the Kosovo Superliga. He later moved to Albania to join Skënderbeu, where he secured a starting position in his first season and scored 8 goals.

He describes the season as quite successful in the “Talenti shqiptar” segment, adding that receiving the call-up from the U-21 national team was a dream come true.

The talented forward shares how his football journey began, his brilliance with Skënderbeu, and the call-up from the national team. He revealed that his dream is to play in one of the top 5 leagues in Europe and to qualify for the World Cup with Albania.

Ermir, how did your connection with football begin? Where did you start, and who is the person who encouraged you towards this sport?

"I started playing football at the age of 8. My first steps were taken at the 'El Clasico' football academy before moving to Trepça ’89. My family has been the driving force behind my involvement in this sport, especially my father, who has been by my side at every moment and every step in football.

Several people advise and support me closely. However, as mentioned earlier, my family is always there for me in every challenge, difficulty, and joy."

"I consider last season with Skënderbeu to be quite successful. Thanks to my hard work and qualities, I became a very important player for the team. We managed to achieve the 'Final Four' goal and fought for the championship title. In the end, we finished in third place after defeating Vllaznia in the small final, and I scored a goal in that match. I have a lot of faith in my abilities, and in the future, I see myself playing in one of the top 5 leagues in Europe."
