Exciting atmosphere at the closing of the Balkan Championship for U19 women

At the conclusion of the Balkan Championship for U19 Girls, the official ceremony for awarding team and individual prizes was held, where emotions, pride, and sportsmanship prevailed at every moment. All participating teams delivered a fair competition with a high technical level, demonstrating the growth and potential of women’s volleyball in the region.

Bulgaria was crowned Balkan champion, taking first place. Turkey ranked second, while Serbia took third place. Romania followed in fourth, Albania in fifth, North Macedonia in sixth, Bosnia and Herzegovina in seventh, and Kosovo in eighth.


During the closing ceremony, individual awards were also given to players who shone in this championship. Irmak Alpınar from Turkey was recognized as the best setter, while Darina Naneva from Bulgaria was named the best middle blocker. Kalina Naneva, also from Bulgaria, was honored as the best outside hitter and later as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the entire tournament. Aylin Uysalcan from Turkey was declared the best opposite hitter, while Nena Vujović from Serbia received the award for best defender (libero). The fair play award was given to Albanian volleyball player Klea Tare.


The bronze medals were presented by Ervis Dosti and Valon Nikqi. The silver medals were handed over by Ornela Belba and Sokol Halili, while the gold medals were presented by Konalsi Gjoka and Dashamir Brari. The trophy for the champion team was given to Bulgaria’s captain, Vyara Parapunova, by the president of the Albanian Volleyball Federation (AVF), Erlind Pëllumbi.


This championship was a complete success, not only in terms of organization and sporting level but also for the spirit of cooperation and respect among the participating teams.
