From a well-known actress in Albania to a hairdresser in the USA / How Pranvera Lumani’s life has changed!

Pranvera Lumani is one of the Albanian actresses who left a mark on the variety theater of Berat and later of Tirana, as well as on Albanian cinematography, where since 1985 she has appeared in several notable character roles.

Her husband is the well-known composer Valentin Veizi. For years, the couple has been living in the United States of America, where they have built a new life away from the Albanian stage, but not away from art and work.

In a testimony for the program Rudina, Pranvera and Valentin spoke about how their lives changed after emigrating.

Valentin Veizi said that America has become a “second homeland” for them, emphasizing that although they are proud of their Albanian origin, the United States gave them the opportunity to integrate and raise their family:

“We feel Albanian and we are proud of it, but America is the place that gave us the opportunity to build a family and offer our children perspective and security.”

Valentin continues his activity as a composer in Boston, while Pranvera has been working as an esthetician and hairdresser for 21 years.

“A few years ago I had a large SPA, but it required a lot of commitment. I decided to move to something smaller. Today I have my own shop, I work with a few girls, and I focus on hairdressing. I’m well and at peace,” she said.

From their marriage, Pranvera Lumani and Valentin Veizi have two children, their son Erli and their daughter Deborah. The couple emigrated to the United States in 1998 and live in Boston, where they have built a new life, showing that success and dignity can also come through unexpected paths.
