From rain to frost and snow, the meteorologist reveals the weather forecast for the upcoming week

Meteorologist Lajda Porja has outlined how the weather is expected to develop over the coming week.

She noted that today the weather appears to be clearing in some parts of the country, with only light precipitation expected for the remainder of the day. This is positive, as the halt in rainfall will allow water accumulated from previous showers to drain from areas affected by flooding.

According to forecasts for tomorrow, cloud cover is expected, with widespread precipitation across most of the country. “Rainfall will be lighter during the first part of the day, but from midday to evening and into the night, the intensity of the rain will increase,” Porja explained.

She also added that downpours will affect the southern and southeastern regions. In high mountain areas, snow is expected, with temperatures dropping to around -2 degrees Celsius.

From the following day, temperatures are expected to rise. Most of the country will experience primarily rain, while snow will remain confined to the higher mountainous areas.

On Tuesday night, heavy rainfall is anticipated, continuing into Wednesday and partially on Thursday. The Shkodër and Lezhë regions are expected to receive additional precipitation.
