Renowned doctor Thoma Topalli has passed away, one of the most respected figures in the healthcare sector of Pogradec. He died two days ago in Boston, USA.
Thoma Topalli was born in Pogradec on March 30, 1936. After completing his university studies in Germany, he dedicated his life to serving the citizens of his hometown.
He began his career at the Pogradec Hospital in 1963 as a general practitioner, while from 1971 he worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist until his retirement in 2000.
Throughout his professional career, he also held leadership positions, including director of the hospital and head of the Obstetrics-Gynecology Department. He was known for his professionalism, dedication, and integrity, earning the respect and gratitude of colleagues, patients, and the entire Pogradec community.
The Municipality of Pogradec expressed its deepest condolences to the family, relatives, and colleagues of Dr. Thoma Topalli for this loss.
