Historic / Pogradeci on top. Respect for these girls who are aiming for the title!

A start exactly as they had imagined. Pogradec, in women’s volleyball, leads the Superleague in the first three weeks and this is truly historic news, as never before had the women’s team from Pogradec seen themselves so high in the league table.

Pogradec currently sits at the top with 8 points, the same as Tirana, which means these two teams will be the main contenders for the championship title.

In fact, the club’s management carried out a high-quality transfer window, bringing in very talented players, and so far even though it is still early these girls have justified the trust placed in them.

Just one 3-2 win against Skënderbeu and then two clean victories have left Pogradec with only -1 point from a possible 9, but the road to the end is still long.

But these girls you see in the photo below have shown that they’ll be celebrating in most of the matches this season and will be posing for many more shots like this.

Truly, a bravo so far to this group of players and the coaching staff. Next week finds Pogradec traveling to Shkodër to face Vllaznia. Perhaps we’ll see win number 4 in just as many weeks.

Success on this season’s journey, Pogradec. It looks like it will be a historic season for the women’s volleyball team of this city.
