Just days before the highly anticipated match between Albania and Serbia, red-and-black striker Rei Manaj has raised concerns within the national team camp, as he has been hospitalized due to a severe flu condition.

Sources close to the medical staff of the National Team report that the player exhibited symptoms such as high fever, physical exhaustion, and weakness, which led doctors to send him for specialized treatment at a healthcare center. Although it is not considered a serious medical issue, his condition has raised alarm bells ahead of one of Albania's most important matches in this phase of the qualifiers.

Manaj’s condition is being closely monitored by the national team’s staff, with hopes that he will recover in time to be available for coach Sylvinho. However, if his condition does not improve within the next two to three days, there is a real possibility he will miss the match against Serbia — a potentially significant blow to Albania’s offensive lineup.

Rei Manaj has been in good form recently and was seen as a key option in the attacking phase of the team, especially in a high-stakes clash like the one against Serbia, where physical strength, determination, and experience are crucial.
