The ‘Shqipëria Bëhet’ party is holding the announced protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The protest began with tensions, as demonstrators clashed physically with the police, pushing them and attempting to approach the Parliament’s main building.
Chanting “Edi Rama, you thief! Edi Rama, you coward!”, the protesters demanded the resignation of the head of the government.
The situation escalated as protesters claimed that the police tried to remove the sound system and the podium, where the party leader Adriatik Lapaj was giving a speech, calling for Edi Rama to step down.
During his speech, Adriatik Lapaj stated that now is the time of good against evil.
“I invite citizens to join and demand Rama’s resignation. The promises he made Rama lied and did not keep them. It is time for the new generation to unite. It is the time of good against evil. I am not afraid of criminal proceedings,” said Lapaj.
