Incidents outside the stadium during Albania–Latvia match, FIFA fines the Albanian FA 10,000 francs

FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee has decided to fine the Albanian Football Association (FSHF) 10,000 Swiss francs for incidents that occurred outside the “Air Albania” stadium during the Albania – Latvia match on September 9, 2025, as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The AFF announced that it will appeal this decision to the relevant FIFA bodies and has already initiated legal procedures.

The Federation calls on fans to show civility in future matches and to support the National Team without causing situations that damage its image and interests. It also requests full cooperation from law enforcement institutions to ensure that every match becomes a football celebration.
