Irsa Metanj presented as a Skënderbeu player for the new season

Skënderbeu’s women’s volleyball team has begun presenting its players for the new season, starting with one of its talents. The player is Irsa Metanj, a name increasingly standing out in Albanian youth volleyball.

Born in 2008, Irsa is one of the most promising athletes of her generation and has shown high-level skills at every level she has played. This year, she has been part of the main squads in both national teams and the clubs she has represented.

She has been crowned champion three years in a row with the U-20 team and also won the championship title with the U-18 team. She has been part of the starting six for the U-18 and U-20 national teams, contributing significantly to their achievements.

With the U-20 national team, Irsa won a bronze medal, finishing in third place, while with the U-18 national team, she secured fifth place in the Balkan Championship.

Skënderbeu thus starts the season with confidence in its talent and squad depth, and Irsa Metanj is one of the names expected to make an impact not only for the Korçë team but also more broadly in Albanian volleyball.
