Kapshtica border crossing to temporarily close for 5 hours on Monday due to Greek customs strike


The Kapshtica Border Crossing Point will temporarily suspend operations on Monday, July 27, from 05:00 to 10:00, due to a strike by Greek customs employees.


During this period, vehicle movement will not be allowed in either direction, neither for entry nor exit, while Albanian authorities have urged citizens and businesses to plan their travel outside this time frame.

Notice for citizens and businesses


Due to the strike of Greek customs employees, the Kapshtica Customs Branch will be closed on Monday, July 27, from 05:00 to 10:00.


According to the notification from Greek customs authorities, during this time interval movement through the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point will be suspended. Vehicles will not be allowed to pass either into or out of the customs branch.


The Albanian Customs Authority calls on all citizens and businesses planning to travel to Greece to avoid using the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point between 05:00 and 10:00 on Monday, July 27.
