Korçë defender finds a new team, signs a two-year contract

Jorgo Pëllumbi is officially the newest player of Kosovo champions Drita. The club from Gjilan has reached an agreement with the Korçë defender, signing him to a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old defender, who made his mark in Albanian football with Skënderbeu and later Kukësi, most recently played for Debrecen in Hungary. He became a free agent this summer and, after receiving several offers, chose to embark on a new adventure in the Kosovo Superleague.

Pëllumbi’s official presentation is expected in the coming hours, marking a significant reinforcement for Drita, who will participate for the first time in their history in the UEFA Conference League group stage this season.

Meanwhile, Dinamo had also shown interest in the defender, but the parties did not reach an agreement.
