Latest news / The Transparency Board lowers again the price of diesel and petrol, here is how much they will be sold for in the market

On May 8, 2026, at its regular meeting, the Transparency Board decided:

The retail price of diesel (standard SSH EN 590) will be no more than 193 ALL per liter, while the wholesale price will be no more than 181 ALL per liter.

The retail price of petrol (standard SSH EN) will be no more than 179 ALL per liter, while the wholesale price will be no more than 167 ALL per liter.

The prices set by the Board will enter into force today, May 8 at 13:30, and will remain valid until the next Board meeting, when any changes in fuel prices will be reflected.

All wholesale and retail operators of oil products are reminded of their obligation to comply with this decision.

In case of violations by operators, suspension of activity will be imposed.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and maintaining fair competition principles in the market.
