Legend of the field, former Skënderbeu striker Jorgaq Lara, is remembered

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of former footballer Jorgaq Lara, a name that left a mark on the history of Albanian football.

During his career, Lara wore the jersey of Partizani Tirana before later joining the team “Puna,” known today as Skënderbeu Korçë. He stood out as a left winger with exceptional qualities, scoring beautiful goals and earning the admiration of fans.

One of the most unforgettable moments of his career remains his famous goal against a Czech team, which at the time received wide attention and became a special memory for sports enthusiasts.

Players of that era competed under challenging conditions, but their passion, dedication, and talent ensured that names like Jorgaq Lara remain unforgettable in the history of Albanian sport.
