“Let us live our pain!” – Shpat Kasapi’s mother breaks her silence: “My son passed away in Selvije’s arms, Roel did not…”

Shpat Kasapi’s mother, Gjylymsere Kasapi, has reacted publicly for the first time following the passing of her son, expressing deep gratitude to everyone who has stood by the family during these difficult moments.

Through a post on Facebook, she thanks her family, friends, society, colleagues, and artists for the support and solidarity shown after the loss of the singer, which she describes as “the greatest pain” they are experiencing.

“Thank you to all members of the Kasapi family, my own family from my parents, and of course to our entire circle in general, colleagues and artists from all Albanian regions, for the support and for sharing with us the great pain we are experiencing with the passing from this life of our beloved Shpat, dear to us all,” she writes.

Among other things, Gjylymsere addressed a special thank-you to her daughter-in-law, Selvije, Shpat’s wife.

“In a special way, I want to thank my dear Selvije, the soul of my Shpat’s soul, who not only loved him but adored him for her gentleness, sincerity, and morals as a devoted wife. She was maximally committed not only as a companion in their shared life, but also as an excellent mother to my little grandson, Roel. This was also proven by the fact that Shpat passed away in Selvije’s arms, while Roel also threw himself over them, without understanding what was happening,” she writes.

However, in her message, Shpat’s mother calls for any kind of speculation or misinterpretation to stop, warning that any such attempts will be condemned both morally and legally. She also asks those who are trying to disturb the family especially Selvije to give them space to experience their grief in peace.

“Please, to those who in these moments are trying to disturb us as a family in general, or any of the names I mentioned above, especially my dear and respected Selvije, who is keeping me alive in these heavy moments for me, allow us to live our deep pain and attend to your own personal matters,” says the mother of the late singer, who passed away just a few days ago from a heart attack.

Any speculation different from this, coming from a mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother with a broken heart and tears in her eyes, I will condemn not only morally but also legally…! I ask those who in these moments try to disturb us as a family in general, or any of the names I mentioned above especially my dear and respected Selvije, who keeps me alive in these heavy moments for me to allow us to live our deep pain and to mind their own personal affairs…!
