The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy announces that any vehicle changing ownership must undergo a technical inspection, regardless of when its last inspection was carried out. This new rule is part of a directive published in the Official Gazette and will take effect on December 1, 2026.
According to the directive, authorities can require a technical inspection at the moment the owner’s name is changed on the registration certificate. This requirement also applies to vehicles that have traveled more than 160,000 kilometers, ensuring higher road safety standards.
